Daybreak
2025
Acrylic on modular canvas
18" x 24" x2
Daybreak takes the idealized male form that has been represented in art throughout history, particularly during the Renaissance, and reclaims it under a portrayal of transmasculinity. It acts as a means to see myself in artwork where there was previously not a place for me, and for others who feel similarly to be able to see themselves as well.

Two acrylic paintings that create a modular piece. They create a transmasculine figure lounging in front of a sunrise. The figure has stylized double mastectomy/top surgery scars that look like the stars present in the background.
